Positions
Software Developer
Avenity is seeking Software Developers with up to five years of experience and/or coursework in the development of information systems. We look for US Citizens or Permanent US Residents with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Qualified candidates have exposure to software development using Microsoft tools (Visual Studio 6.0 and/or .NET, VB, C#, VC++, IIS/ASP, BizTalk, etc.) and/or Java technologies (J2EE, J2SE, JSP/Servlets, Tomcat, WebLogic, etc.). Familiarity with database systems (Oracle, SQL Server), XML, and DHTML/JavaScript is also helpful.
Senior Software Engineer
Avenity is seeking Software Developers with seven or more years of experience in the development of business information systems. We look for US Citizens or Permanent US Residents with a Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Qualified candidates have expertise developing complex custom systems using Microsoft tools (Visual Studio 6.0 and/or .NET, VB, C#, VC++, IIS/ASP, BizTalk, etc.) and/or Java technologies (J2EE, J2SE, JSP/Servlets, Tomcat, WebLogic, etc.). Candidates should also demonstrate expertise developing database systems (Oracle, SQL Server).
Software Tester
Avenity is seeking energetic, self-motivated Software Testers with up to two years of experience and/or coursework in information systems or business process analysis. We look for US Citizens or Permanent US Residents with a Bachelors Degree in Business or Information Systems. The software tester will work directly with the Testing Lead and software developers to test product enhancements and custom business software solutions. Qualified candidates are detail-oriented, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and perform well in a team environment.
Business Analyst
Avenity is seeking energetic, self-motivated Business Analysts with up to four years of experience and/or coursework in information systems or business process analysis. We look for US Citizens or Permanent US Residents with a Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Systems, or Operations Research. Solid business analysis and business writing skills are paramount. Candidates will work directly with clients and teammates, and must have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Project Manager
Avenity is seeking a Project Manager to lead one or more system development and implementation projects. Qualified candidates must have eight or more years of experience and/or coursework in information systems or business process analysis. We look for US Citizens or Permanent US Residents with a Bachelors Degree in Business or Information Systems. The Project Manager is responsible for the business requirements, design, testing, staff and client management efforts from project inception through implementation. The Project Manager must be comfortable facilitating and leading meetings as well as interacting with project stakeholders, managers, technical staff, and end users. The candidate must have a strong desire to help grow our business through new leads or continued project work with our existing client base.
Qualified candidates have experience with developing and tracking project plans using Microsoft Project, including estimating work and tracking project dependencies. The Project Manager is expected to participate in the completion of project tasks in a "hands on" manner, and to participate in staff development, training, recruiting, and business development activities in addition to project-related work.
We are looking for candidates with a solid understanding of the SDLC, outstanding teamwork ability, ability to adapt to organization and project timelines, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
